Location: Pardeeville, WI | I read on a webpage that Berkley has discontinued Whiplash which
I already knew but then I read they replaced it with Spiderwire Stealth.
Spiderwire all together has a different webpage then Berkley. In
no area on their webpage did I see any reference to Berkley and
Spiderwire being the same company or a "Brother-Sister" company.
Does anybody have any facts on this? Im thinking about going with
Spiderwire Stealth this year since I really liked Berkley whiplash.

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | As I understand things, when Johnson Worldwide sold Mitchell and the Spider product line to the 'parent' company that covers Berkely and other products the branding was to remain Spider related for marketing purposes. After the sale, Johnson Worldwide changed their name to Johnson Outdoors. They make great products like Minn Kota. |
