Posts: 682 Location: Sycamore, IL | Would someone be able to post a pic of the Esox Magnum front battery compartment and take some measurements? I am going to add one to my Esox LTD and want to see the layout for some ideas on construction. Thanks!

Posts: 682 Location: Sycamore, IL | Yeah I did...but sold the boat last winter. It was a bit of a project, as the batteries had to be recessed into the floor for the new compartment to be flush with the front deck. In the end it worked pretty well and opened up more storage in the front compart ment. It also made getting to and maintaining my batteries easier.

Posts: 4269 Location: Ashland WI | Do you have any pictures? Last winter I did make a storage compartment up front, but realized I would need to recess it for batteries to fit. Main concern is if I cut into it and find a support stringer there.

Posts: 682 Location: Sycamore, IL | Unfortunately I did not take any pics of the process. There are two stringers that run up the middle of the boat about 18 inches apart and terminate where the front deck starts. I used one of those oscillating tools to cut out the piece of flooring...you could feel where the stringers were with the tool. I then notched the stringers to accept the battery box and glassed the whole shebang together. Good luck...

Posts: 38 Location: WI | Am in the process of doing it to my esox ltd. Will be putting the batteries and charger in the existing front storage area and then making a storage area in front of the deck and level with the existing for other items. The other way as you explained sounds really nice and easier to check the batteries but sounds like more work. Have heard it really helps the boat plain out and ride better.
