30 degree lake temps on LSC where we were today. Got skunked. Not ready to end the season but it's looking like it's over for us.

What temp on Kinkaid was 48 yesterday. I got a 38" fish. Also got a 40" fish last Sunday. Unfortunately I think that will likely be my last day of fishing for the year. My schedule is full, no room for fishing.

I was starting to think it was now its warmed up a bit and I found a creek that has a warm water outlet flowing into it and apparently muskie. Used to fish it many years ago and never realized there were muskie in it. Doubt the boat will see anymore water other than snow until spring though.

Fly rod it!! Streamer attached to supple, knot-able wire and some nice strips on your retrieve.

Careful, it just might turn you around!! *G*

Yesterday, I marked many big hooks but no action for my boat, John Pensyl is still hot another 48"er for his boat again!Today I launch the boat, start the outboard motor and it is spiting out gasoline and stalled.Muskie Gods are trying to tell me it is over, my boat is down now, I will have to bum rides to the end on December 15th.

Woodieb8, Dave Martin was out on the Lower Niagara River in 11 degree air temp with brown water at 35 degrees today, no action.I thaught he was hardcore till I was passing the NFTA Small Boat Harbor durring this afternoons snow bluzzard and seen headlights pointing crooked on the boat launch.I got off Route 5 and went to investigate. This Oldtimer, his car, his boat & trailer, could not get back up the launch.I pulled him out with my truck in 4-wheel drive low through a total white out and 6" of snow.Yes, he was Perch fishing in a total snow blizzard with 25 mph SW winds! He offered me 5 perch for the tow! Took me an hour to get from Buffalo home to Tonawanda in a complete white out.The only difference between Davevand the Oldtimer being hardcore is Dave will be on the water tomarrow even if he has to bring the snow blower with him!

Today I hung the muskie rods up and placed the tackle boxs in the garage! I then pulled down the steelhead rod & waders to keep me going till there is safe ice and Febuary Guyana fishing trips get here!
