Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | I had a little argument with my 9.9 kicker motor on Saturday and the result is that the tilt-trim decided to destory itself. Thusly there is no "up position" anymore. No big deal when on the water, but when trailering there are maybe 4" clearance between the skeg and the ground.
Yes, I need to get it fixed, but dont want to miss any time on the water....so anyone have suggestions on a transom saver? |

| Could it just be the "UP" relay that took a hike? |

| Just to get by for the rest of the year, I'd just put a 2X2 under the bracket, and bungie the lower unit down so it stays. Just need to lift it up for a bit more clearance. As long as you don't go down rough roads too fast that make the kicker want to bounce, you should be OK.
