I'm looking to buy an 8' rod, but would like it to fit in my rod locker. Are there any other companies that have a telescopic/retractable butt section model besides Pete Maina?

Dave,

I don't know about you, but I don't like the sound of retractable or telescoping when it comes to my equipment. I would rather have my rods "ONE" piece. Wouldn't want to have a 30# Musky on the end of my line and hope my retractable butt didn't fail.

I am not aware of any other than the one you mentioned. I have used two of them in the past with no problems, although I do prefer one piece.
