Headed out for a short day on Pewaukee next week. A friend got a 46 & a 52 while trolling, but we don't have the equipment to troll. What has been raising fish and where besides trolling? Annother guy told us he had 12 follows & 2 hook-ups using bucktails, but that sounds like an aweful lot of fish for one day to me. Has anyone else had success on Pewaukee lately???

Thank you to all 229 people who viewed my post & didn't care to comment. I am getting more and more frustrated every day w/ the lack of willingness to share info on this site. we all have a common goal. lets put our petty selfish ways aside and consider that we are just a bunch of good ol boys tryin to catch some fish. we cant learn if we dont share... I ended up w/ 2 fish. a 32 and a 40. both were on blk and rd bucktails fished over the tops of shallow weeds near deep water. I had heard from other sources that black or black and red had been hot ( one guy even had 12 follows and 2 in the net) but obviously none of that info came from here. good thing i do my homework... hope this info actually helps someone out there catch some fish, because I am just happy to see a fellow fisherman net a ski, not a selfish Sweetness... good luck fishin, & don't be so shy about posting or commenting.

illogical assumption that all the visitors to the thread you started have fished pewaukee or have any insight on your question

I would have to say most people on here share in a friendly way more than most other sites i ever seen.

sometimes we all got to figure things out for ourselves, makes us better anglers in the longrun. sounds like you are finding success using your angling ability

I haven't been on the water lately, but can give you a good starting point. The narrows located in the middle of the lake which seperates the east and west end is a good starting point. The weed edge runs in kind of a horse shoe shape and definitely holds fish especially this time of year. Follow the weed edge casting and or with suckers. Use your electronics to locate where the bait fish are bunching up. Stop in at Smokeys and grab a lake map and suckers and ask for some advice. They will tell you what is going on and will be helpful. Pewaukee has a lot of fish and you should be able to get on some fish. Suckers are always a good choice this time of year, but if you prefer to cast you could do that as well. Depending on the day either may produce fish. There will also be enough boats on the water to give you an idea what areas to fish. Good luck, enjoy..

Wow. Just breezed through the site and came across this thread. Crazy how some people think everyone looks at this site and all others every day all day. The people who do obviously are not fishing every day and are on fish every day.
I try to look around this site a few times a week when I got some free time. That's not very often. I'm always giving excellent advice to people on a daily basis. Usually via text or e-mails. I bet I sent over a doz reports this morning alone.
Sorry this thread was not seen ASAP.
Way more info is shared via this site than others. If your refering to lake-link as your info site you will learn that a few good guys on there will share but the bashers ruin it most of the time. I was a contributor for a while but some started to question my numbers and I quickly shut down my help.
Good people help others. Sometimes a few bad apples ruin it for everyone. I don't post on Lake-link anymore. Haven't for years.
Sunshine and vegas are good posters there. They get out a few times a week.
Fishing has been great and other days average.

Bucktails and top water has been very good. Fish after dark also. Next two weeks is going to be real good. Deep weed edges are the ticket. The best weeds close to deep water is best. Can't go wrong in the narrows. Condos and island area on west end has been hot. 14 fow give or take a foot has been the ticket. Cranks and rubber should be used also. Everyone is using bucktails. Suckers are the ace card. Please use quick strike rigs and DON'T WAIT to set the hook. Swallowed rigs make dead muskies. Its better to swing and miss than kill a fish so you can get one more picture.
Now be nice. You will get more info....
I'm not sure why I gave any advice after reading the thread. Guess one sour grape can't effect the whole vine. Fishing is fun. Learn to take it easy and enjoy figuring stuff out on your own. Its way more rewarding. Too many people are getting caught up in fish numbers.
