heading up to Rhinelander for the weekend. Staying on Lake Thompson, but will probably fish a number of different waters, based upon conditions, temps, etc.

Does anyone have any recent info to share?

Talked to my cousin in Rhinelander last night. My uncle caught a 39" on topwater on Monday, but most the action lately has been on jerks. It's still pre-turnover, so I wouldn't be afraid to throw anything.

Action has been great across the board. 60 degree water temps, might fall a tad with the rain next couple days.

I'm curious as well. Just got up here and zero input from anyone that we've talked to.

Got two on suckers in the area on Tuesday in the rain. Shallow. I'm going back late next week but I would be nervous about turnover right now IMO. Be ready to switch lakes. Water temps in the mid 50s and ready to turn. Round and Pike were in turnover (Price Co next door)

Mild weather is holding things off. Will try Squirrel next week and down to Rhinelander weekend next. Things should be stable by then.

Well it looked as if the lake I was on was definitely turning over...murky, and dirty water, lots of debris and green crap and this lake is normally very clear...very dissappointing fishing.

Fished a small Lake in Oneida County with 3 boats. Water temp was 53. Action was good on Thursday. Water clarity was pretty good. I caught fat 43 incher on sucker (picture). Also we caught 3 around 37 and several around 30 inches. Lost a few nice ones both on suckers and lures. Buddy caught a 47" hog on Pelican on Friday. Water temp there was 52 and water was pretty clear.

Yes I know. I was fishing with my buddy who has a crappy net. I left my nice Frabill at home. Didn't know he didn't have a better one. Won't happen again. Here is the one he caught on Pelican.
