All:

My fishing partner and I went to the Lower Manitou last year and fell in love with the lake! We typically change up locations from year to year and had planned to do so again this year with a return to the Manitou in summer 2015. However, we simply can't seem to get beyond how much we enjoyed the Lower Manitou this year and are likely destined to return again next year. With that said, we are looking at a return to the Lower with possible stay at Barker Bay or the Weather Station. However, recent info/advice I received is pointing us towards the options of Herschmans vs. Green Island Lodge on the Upper Manitou as well. I know its early in the planning process for next year, but any advice you all have on these options would be much appreciated!

Based on your recent experiences, you're quickly getting the hang of this crazy sport and out fishing your fishing partner! The Manitou has yielded similar results for you and I in that it has yielded our PB's....yours on the lower, mine on the upper. I have a marked map I'd be happy to share with you. Keep that "guide" of yours in order and you should fair pretty well.

Thanks for the input. We were back and forth on this the past couple of weeks. The Weather Station is definitely a solid option for our trip plans next summer. Thanks again!
