Seems that's the case for more than a few people the last couple days. I would find the baitfish and either jig, cast or troll over them using speed as a trigger. But I've never been to Minaki.

Mr. Canada (B. Malack) can offer some very good advice.

well on that note....

when all else fails get out the map and start attacking all of the "stars" ( marked rock piles) and keep going from one to the other until you hopefully can find 1 or 2. Not sure what the current conditions are but I have to imagine rock reefs near current or main lake structures would be your primary best bet here on Sept 25... Firetiger weighted Suick would be a good choice in baits, especially if they aren't overly aggressive

I've never fished there this late, but I'm headed up next Thursday to try it. When I'm in Minaki I make a point of hitting every bouy along the river channel as these are generally marking rock piles. Most people head north into Big Sand, Little Sand, Pistol and Rough Rock but don't forget to try south along the river channel and small lakes off of the channel.

Please post if you find any pattern as I'm heading up next Thursday.
