| Anyone have a rod recommendation for throwing regular size Medussas? I have tried it with an 8' MI super magnum 4-16 oz wt and an 8-6 to 9' TI XH (which I preferred), but I'm still looking for the perfect stick. I heard those 9' Hulbert musky armor rods were good, but are no longer available. Probably a search on here for this, but I'm not near a desktop and have low reception where I am. Thanks |

| The medussa is hands down one of my favorite baits , but in my opinion it doesn't pull to hard at all and any 8-6 medium heavy should do the trick . I use the musky innovation rod and my sling blade big nasty with rubber . out of the 2 I throw the dussa on the innovation rod . |

| Tackle Industries 9 XXH. You will like this rod for mag and pounder sized rubber. |

Location: WESTERN WI | Medium size rubber+Big Nasty(9') year round, for pounders/14 oz+ rubber Gander XXXH IM7, rated to 20oz, usually running pounders when it gets chilly to real cold. I like the heaviness and am sick of breaking rods in the late fall, I can live with a broken Gander Mt. Rod, but it has not happened yet, but I have broke a big nasty and a diamondback (both 9') in cold (below 40) weather with pounders. (werent rate3ed for it, my fault. I think that a blank can be too long when it gets frigid out. flexes much less when cold out and they seem to break where that "action tip" meets the backbone of the blank.
