Posts: 349 | For those of you with an LJV or Trini 16 handle on your Tranx HG, which hole are you using? The inside hole - shorter handle, or the outside - longer handle? I have the Tranx HG and LJV handle both being mailed to me right now and from my research I'm getting the Tranx stock handle is 2.75" from drive shaft to center of handle, and the LJV/Trini 16 handle offers 3" or 3.25". Just wondering which length is used by most. Thanks

Posts: 1000 | Does an aftermarket handle make that much of a difference? My PG turns double 13s to mush. Love these reels!

I thought you were suppose to use your rod on the hook set, aren't you Brad?

Is there really that much of a difference adding a different power handle on the tranx compared to the stock handle? I have been using the stock handle and I have no issues with it whatsoever...works good.

Location: Contrarian Island | yah, I palm the reel and when I sweep the rod on hookset my right hand is on the handle and I'm right handed so I end up pulling w that hand as well...hence bending the handle.... as far as a longer handle, yes, it increases your leverage...
