Hello....My LMS 332c won't find the GPS module.....Lowrance told me that the HDS 5 would fit in my dash and it would be plug and play with the existing cables.....my easiest options since I'm no good with electronics......does any one have one of these?.....how do you like it?......any issues.......been reading a lot of Lowrance horror stories while trying to figure out what's wrong with mine......if anyone's got a LMS 332c that's working and wants to upgrade, let me know what you're looking to get out of it.....thanks

Hiya,

From my own experience, I did not have very good luck with any of the LMS series of lowrance. My troubles were on losing bottom lock. Tried different transducers with no luck, and it would at times lose GPS signal as well, so I didn't feel comfortable staying with those units. I upgraded to the HDS 5 gen 2 the previous summer and could not have been happier. I ended up upgrading my chip to the lowrance lake chip which is really nice.

Since changing, I have had no issue with any of my units. They boot up fast, are easy to navigate, and the options you have with doing structure scan, etc. make it a very versatile unit. I think you will like the unit.
