A soft tail phantom that is 6.75" long... is that a 7.5" soft tail phantom (nominally)? This is my assumption. I think they call it whatever length it would be if it didn't have the tip of the tail cut off for the implant of the rubber tail.

Please let me know if I'm wrong.

I believe you are correct, it is measured to the end of the tail stud.
