| I have read in the past that this issue will get worse and eventually lead to the reel not engaging/disengaging. Does anyone have any tips on preventing this wear from happening?

Location: Denmark | Ii you are referring to, the kick lever issue of the earlier Revo's, then yes, there is a way to solve the problem.
The first revisions of the Revo's and Revo Toros, was delivered with a kick lever of an inferior metal. The lever would wear out after some hundred hours of use. Below some help, how to change it, the new lever can be ordered from ABU. But better u send the reel to Richard, info in the sticker tread above.

| I am referring to the frame being worn down by the thumb bar(not sure if this is what is actually referrred to as the kick lever). I attached another photo of the problem. This reel is a 2012 model Winch 61.
Also, this reel has well over 200 hours of use this year. |

Location: Mt. Zion, IL | Pull the thumb bar out of the reel and grease the slides and the cam mechanism inside the reel with a high quality grease. This will allow the reel to release easier and the thumb bar will be lubricated between the slides. My revo reels have nearly zero wear due to proper lubrication |

Location: Denmark | True, keep the plastic thumb bar parts clean, and well lubricated with a teflon grease like Magnalube or simular. |
