Location: New Jersey | I know this is pretty general in regards to different conditions and times of year, but the last few times I've been out I've gotten an insane amount of follows on gliders and watched the guys in the back of the boat catch fish on cranks. Just wondering what other people's follow to strike ratio is like on these two types of baits. |

| Looooots of follows on gliders. I've been trying to add several different twitches in my retrieve to trigger instead of hypnotize

Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | On a glider like a Phantom for example, if you just straight retrieve there is still a slight "glide" or wobble to the bait, even if not twitching it. sometimes I will cast out, jerk a few times. then pause, then straight retireve to make it look like it is running, then more jerks and pauses, and just try to make ever cast slightly different. |

| warm water for me usually means getting a reaction weather it be rip pause or burn. Colder water is more of a finesse game. Just what ive had luck with...Never had much luck with a steady cadence in these months. if im working gliders this time of year I like to hammer down a few n decent pause n continue. If im gonna wlk the dog ill take my chances on the surface n go for the big girls. Problem is for me erratic gets a reaction but also alotta fish will miss. Erratic with a nice pause chances r they'll hit on the pause for me. |

Location: Dixon, IL | I like glider because it look like natural animal swam under water but I catch most musky is crankbait! 42 inch last week on 8 inch shallow running crankbait while nothing on glider. I think that muskie eat more fish than animals so crankbait look more like fish. I use both and see which is better for the day! |

| i don't use glidebaits because most of them are almost strictly search bait,follow don't help me much because i know where are they i don't need to see them!
blades are better because they cover more water and they bite on this.now if you consider big plastic as a glidebaits that's another story.i don't cast cranks i troll them,for casting sometimes i use twitch baits but only when life is tough |

| I've caught a lot of muskies on gliders, in fact I have the highest catch to follow rate with gliders.
If you are getting a lot of follows something is off by a little. Maybe the boat is too close to the fish, or it could be lure color, size, or speed.
And don't argue with fish, if they want cranks give them cranks, if the want spinners give them spinners, etc.. |

| I get way too many follows than strikes with gliders, but the biggest fish I have ever seen have always been on them. With crankbaits I seem to get more strikes than follows. |

| if you get follows on side to side start throwing more erratic baits like squirkos... learn how to make them pop you can change up the cadence and make them go up and down that normaly gets them to go for me... big pops long pauses followed up by some speed will make most fish go ape crazy |

Location: Wisconsin | I fish the WI river a lot and love glides. I second the squirko i can make it dive and rise or glide side to side. |

| +1 for the squirko, #1 bait in my box. I've never had a problem with fish following them. |
