Posts: 50 | Has anyone had any problems with the roller clutch assembly popping out of the side of the reel?I have a 400a and 401a and both have the same problem right out of the box.Only used each one about 10 minutes. The whole handle assembly pops out and wobbles.Don't want to send back unless its a hard problem to fix. Thanks!

Posts: 149 | I have one i bought from an online auction. Had that same problem and sent it to PIKEMASTER. He fixed it, lubed it, (pimped it?) and it's better than new. Cost of the reel + pimping = less than price of a new one. Worked out well for me.

Posts: 339 Location: Denmark | Do you have a picture, showing us how this looks like?. Normally most multiplier reels have a slight horizontal play, nothing to worry about.

Found a quick easy fix two tiny washers and two slightly longer scews.there are two small screws next to the handle housing that pops out of the main body if you take these screws out one at a time and put a washer and a slightly longer screw to acomendate for thickness of washer it holds that insert in the main body. I took a old real apart and used those screws. The problem is the main shaft handle has a c clip at the end of it the price inside of the real that the shaft secures to is plastic which flexes when realing. You can also put a small washer there to reduce shaft end play. But requires taking real apart I don't know how to put pictures on here
