| A co-worker of my is looking to buy a new 65# thrust Minnkota Powerdrive trolling motor, where can he find the best deal in Wisconsin? Thanks. |

| Make sure to tell him to look at getting the co pilot. [:sun:] |

|
| That's a tough one. My first look would be Fleet Farm, second the catalogs, and third the local boat dealer. Places like Wal Mart don't usually have over 48# motors. |

|
| Depending upon the type of boat that he has, try to talk him into the next size longer shaft than he thinks he needs.
My rationale is that when he needs the motor the most is when the waves are the biggest. I've had a PD for 3 years and love it. However I didn't think that there was a good reason to have a Auto Pilot until you are helping someone in the boat with a magnum backlash problem, changing hooks, or unhooking a fish in moderate to heavy waves. It would be an advantage to point the trolling motor in a specific direction and not worry about it. It is something to consider. |

| Check out smaller discount stores. I got a 30# for $80 from paul's discount store in Iowa. |

| Thanks for the info, he has an 18' Nitro that he's putting it on. |

| I'm looking for the same thing in the Twin Cities. 65# Thrust Autopilot with universal sonar. Anyone know of a sale? |

I heard somewhere that the Cabelas series motors are the same, they just put the Cabelas sticker on them. So the 60lb is actually just the 65lb with a different sticker on it. Don't quote me on this, but I know I heard it somewhere.
