| This spring I want to give SMALL topwaters a try (I have plenty of big ones). Looking for suggestions for lures in the 6" range. Any suggestions. Thanks - Tom |

| The new Zara Spooks look like they would be a nice small topwater, I have taken a couple of smaller muskies on Heddon Torpedoes. |

| Give the Ozark Mountain Woodchoppers a try. Also the regular Jackpot series 1400 might work. I just ordered some of them from Yakima bait co. A small Hawg Wobbler should be worth a look as well. |

| Muskiekid,
Try a Hi-Fin Jr. Skywalker or Bass Creeper.Jim Bortz uses the Hi-Fin Bass Creeper in the Pa streams with great success for Muskies. The Jr. Skywalker is like a Jackpot, but small and you walk the dog accross the surface with it.

| Ive had good success on the musky sized jitterbugs.
Cisco kid toppers have so far proven to be useless for me, havent produced a single follow/strike/anything. |

| One of the guys at Thorne Bros makes a bait I cannot recall the name of which you might like. It looks like a much shorter version of the jackpot. |

| muskiekid, I will 2nd what Larry says about the HI FIN Bass Creeper. I have one that my daughters, and young clients throw. Great sound in a small package.
I also like the smallest sized Hawg Wobbler. Again, great sound and action in a small pacakger. God bless. |

| Thanks fellas, I appreciate your input. Tom |

| A bass sized buzzer with a 5/0 trailer is pretty cool stuff, too. |

| Mega Bait makes a 5" jackpot style lure. Smokey's had a small 5" tallywhacker style lure there too, made by Tom's tackle I think. Bucher's walk the dod style lure is smaller too. |

| Tom, check out Creek Chubs new Knuckle Head...you guys got shad mainly right? I'm gonna try one, as it should be the ticket for rockfish, and I would think musky too w/ a shad based lake. |

| Slammer Topwater has a great creeper as well as a splashtail
which are small lures. They are made to take big muskie abuse![] |
| |
| A cisco kid topper showed me 2 fish in about an hour, one miss and one landed. For some reason I haven't used it much since, but they were two of the most explosive strikes I've seen. Both fish completely launched out of the water. |

| Wisher Jr.....I dont know what it is about this bait..but I hooked 6 Skis on this bait in two hours of fishing last summer. Kinda looks like a Cisco Kid. Advice...replace hooks on Wisher Jr. with larger trebs...the 40 inchers and above will rip them. Good luck. |

| Terry Mouldy's Baby Hawg Wobbler... In Black/Yellow...
Nothing else comes close...
Thorne Brothers has them...

| Give Excalibur's Spook a try. It produced for me last year.[;)] |

| Thanks for all the great responses. Wondering...several of you mentioned baits that are actuallly Bass baits. Do you recommend changing the hooks to a larger size? Thanks - Tom |

| One of the best small top-waters I use,no one even mentioned is the 6" jake/shallowraider! Stop & go right on the surface is awesome. One other 5" is the jointed beleiver craweled along the surface. The reason I use and like these baits so much is that they are all duel purpose and can be used in many other ways too! Variety is the spice of life! Handy |

| Ditto on the believer. Also, I would definately check out the TNT Triklops. I had some good results on that bait last year. |
