Posts: 84 | I'm looking to book a wolf hunt this fall somewhere around the Vermilion Bay, Perrault Falls area. I would also like to be able to do some musky fishing during my week either after or during my hunt. does anyone have any experience or suggestions to camps I might look into? thanks

Posts: 518 Location: Cave Run Lake KY. | elkman99 - 7/22/2013 5:52 PM -------The Cabin's on the south side of Vermilion bay Resort have all kind of Wolf tracks around them when they open up in the spring you may want to talk to them. I know that Tod Polleey's Resort stays open year round and I'm sure they have hunters hunting out of their camp. Tod Polley's , Land line is ( 218-666-55636 ) you also should check out Cook for info they have a very good Sport Shop that caters to muskie fishers and hunters. Good Luck with the hunt I'm looking forward to see how you make out with your hunt. Marv.I'm looking to book a wolf hunt this fall somewhere around the Vermilion Bay, Perrault Falls area. Posts: 84 | thanks Marv, I actually didn't even know wolf tags were available in MN. I was referring to Canada, but I sure appreciate the info. That adds another option.

Location: MN | ChinWhiskers - 7/22/2013 10:37 PM I don't know if they have a wolf hunt in Minn. I don't think they do, the bear and moose hunts have tags but not wolf . I have not applied for the wolf tag but from what I understand they are not easy to get. I iced fished up in the NW angle on LOTW and the guide at the resort we were at told me there was a group who got drawn and did very well on the MN side. I have seen wolves up there and he said he sees quite a few so maybe the Canada side would be a good option for you. Just call around to the resorts and see what they say.

GOOD LUCK ON THAT. We have an Elk Hunt here in Ky. get a tag and get an elk. the tag's harder to get then the elk. Take Care marv.thanks Marv, I actually didn't even know wolf tags were available in MN. I was referring to Canada, but I sure appreciate the info. That adds another option.

Location: MN | it sounds like if you get in line you can get a tag just like the moose tags. looks like 200 tags a year on the Wolf hunt.. It is MUCH easier to get than a moose tag. (when moose tags were available) If you are serious about it I would say it is worth a shot. There is two seasons to apply for. From what I understand they give out more permits than tags and once the tags are filled they shut the season down. I think a hunt/fish combo would be an awesome trip. My buddies and I have been considering doing a duck/musky combo on the canadian side of LOTW. Fill up the ducks in the morning and hit the skies in the afternoon.

Posts: 84 | Slamr - 7/24/2013 1:31 PM Call Andy Myers Lodge. Pretty sure they do wolf hunts. Does the MNR still allow AML to do wolf hunts since the tag issue? That would have been ideal, since Eagle is a great musky lake.
