Random quote: With that, the fella pulled out his wallet and gave the Game Warden a valid fishing license. "Well, son," said the Game Warden, "you must be about as dumb as a box of rocks! You don't have to run from me if you have a valid license!"

We will be having our last tournament of the year this coming weekend July 14th.
It will be held on Brushy Creek and will be going out of the south east boat ramp.
The one change we will have is that we will be moving the tournament hours to 6AM TO 2 PM. water temps on sunday the 7th were 72 to 75 it will be warm for 2 more days them it will get back to low 80s for highs rest of week so we will be fine as for water temps. The team of the year standings are still wide open for anyone to win 2 decent fish from a new team could even win it so hopefully we will get a decent turn out. Any questions or want to recieve the rules you can email me at [email protected]

Team of year standings
Kyle & Bob Doonan 34pts
Joel & Jeff Becker 31pts
Tracy Crail & Pete Hildreth 28pts

The final leg of the Iowa musky Trail was on Brushy creek this past Sunday. The morning was perfect with water temps at 73 at 6am at take off. Most of the day it was at 75 to 76 the last hour in some of the calm areas it was 77 to 78. The fishing was still very tough with not many fish showing themselves as it has been slow the last few weeks. There were 2 Muskys caught and released.

1st - Tracy Crail & Pete Hildreth 38" and 31" caught on a ranjobucktail and a Depthraider
Both casting one shallow water one over deep water

Final Team of the year standings

1st- Tracy Crail & Pete Hildreth 54pts
2nd- Bob & Kyle Doonan 43pts
3rd tie between 4teams 30pts
Joel & Jeff Becker
Nick & Todd Bass

The Heartland Muskies inc, club would like to thank everyone that participated in this years trail part of the clubs profit ($700) was donated last week to the Dnr to buy pit tags to collect data on the muskies in Clear lake.We also donated money last fall to them to keep the areators running over winter during the low water period. So thank you.
