Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | There both awesome reels, personally I would get the Curado 300EJ, but those Calcutta D's are sick. SO I don't know man. But I really like how the Curado feels in my hand, its light, comfortable, and cast like a dream. |

| I have both of them and I like both of them.
EJ is faster by 2" per crank. 300D has a superior drag. I believe they weigh about the same. I would imagine the D's gears will tolerate more abuse than the EJ's. Unless you really need speed, I'd say the D is the better overall reel. Of course the D is also going to be about $75 more so unless you really want best in slot gear, the EJ might be a more economical option for a minimal drop in performance given what you have listed.
I use my 300D primarily for Jerk baits as I like the paddle handle and line pick up. Absolutely love it for gliders. |
