Just looking for a little advice. A few lakes I fish grow REALLY thick milfoil mats. Almost to the point where you can walk across the lake. Just wondering if milfoil is what is considered a barrier vegetation, or if the fish are able to cruise around underneath, with almost no effective way to get them out. Any advice for fishing lakes like this? There are channels that flow through, and create a definite edge that is fishable, but with no success thus far.

The 3 muskies I've caught has been casting next to milfoil patches, it was much later in the year though.
