Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | I got a very long and expensive trip coming up...one of the joys of that is stocking up on outboard oil for the Yamaha Oil Eat--err, VMax I mean
At Wal Mart yesterday....Yamalube 36$ Super Tech TC-W3 Outboard Oil 12.50$
Anybody ever run this stuff? Is it possible to go half and half and mix both oils here and there? I need about 6 jugs for a big trip and that is a tough pill to swallow.

Location: MN | I've mixed and matched that Super Tech stuff with Quicksilver and Quicksilver semi synthetic in a 150 Merc 2 stroke for years with no apparent issues. Oil is oil - sort of. Should lubricate and do its job that way, but assuming that maybe the cheaper stuff does not use as much of the supposedly good anti-smoke additives and such, you may see differences there but I couldn't tell any on mine. |

| i have a 4S now, but from what i understand, any oil rated with Tc-w3 can be used and it should meet all the standards your motor requires. |

Location: Hayward, WI | If your motor is EFI the O2 sensor can get wrecked very easily from oils that don't burn clean. Not sure if oil you are referring to does or not, but it can get quite expensive to replace an O2 sensor if you ruin it. |
