The PMTT field of 94 boats left today under cloudy skies with a 50% promise of rain and thunderstorms this afternoon. Winds will be light to moderate and temps in the 70's to low 80's....perfect muskie fishing weather!

Pre-fish was reported to have been good, with all the Teams MuskieFIRST talked to contacting numerous fish.

Watch for updates as the day progresses!

PMTT Coverage is brought to you by St Croix Rods and Lund Boats.

Word from the water is fishing is decent despite east winds and some fronts blowing through, half way and probably 15 or more caught already.

No doubles yet and the biggest so far is 44'' still anyone's game.

Winds have died down & skies are breaking some, could be an explosive second half to Day 1.

Skies are breaking and it's getting warm, might really turn on for the last couple hours.

Rumors starting to crank up about a few nice fish and a couple of doubles.

Bill Taylor with a nice 37".

As they check in there are doubles and triples thanks to the late window.
