Trying to look for a portable unit. Was not sure what is out there. Does anybody have any suggestions and or personal experience? Thanks in advance.

Flasher or LCD they are available.

Marcum and Vexilar both make excellent portable flashers. Suction cup adaptors for transducers too.

H-Bird and Lowrance both make Portable Ice finders and suction cup mounts for the transducer.

I have used the Humminbird portable. Works well. I use the flasher screen for ice fishing and have the suction cups for open water. I have a 597HDci head unit that i used with the ice fishing portable unit. I would suggest this.
