I'm new to this forum and looking for some input on fishfinders.
I'm from Denmark where fishfinders are were expensive (ex. Lowrance lms-240 = $1300!!!) but a friend of mine is visiting US and he will buy one for me.
My choice until yesterday was a Lowrance LMS-240 at $399, but yesterday I realised that both Eagle and Lowrance have new models on the market.
Whats is the differens between Eagle Fishelite 320 ($449) and the Lowrance LMS-320 ($549)? Are the Lowrance model worth the extra $100?

I can't speak on the specific models you refer to but it is my understanding that Eagle is made by Lowrance at the same facility they make the Lowrance product.
I have had 3 Eagle units in the past and liked them. I still have one on my small boat and it is a nice unit. I know Steve Worrall had a Eagle Fish-Easy on his last boat and it seemed like a pretty nice unit for the price range.

| Yes that is correct Eagle is made by Lowrance and is their second line. They may use cheeper( less expensive ) parts thats all and it does not mean that Eagles are bad now just not as good as Lowrance. If they were the same then everyone would buy Eagles and Lowrance would not sell anything.
I think it is a way to cover the matket with 2 completly different companys targeting 2 diferent markets.
I have had both and was satified with everyone of them. [:sun:] |
