Spirit is a weed bite and so far there is no weed growth, so like looking for a needle in a haystack. West is more a late summer fall lake...

Have been up there a lot. I fish in my waders because I do not have a boat. I got a bite yesterday in anglers bay fishing the shallow shoreline weeds using a small jerkbait. Hit about 2 feet away from where I was standing. Anyway spirit is normally a weed bite and I have also observed very little weed growth due to the cold, sunless weather. The incoming weather doesn't look the most promising as far as heat goes.
