Whats everyone using to hold baits while painting? I am using the helping had things from harbor freight but it seems like there has to be something better to use

I use vice grips. They clamp nice and tight to eyelets. I tried one of those stands from Harbor Freight with the alligator clips, but it didnt work well for me.
