Hey guys just bought a 10 inch phantom for like 30 bucks and i have been wondering if it is just to crazy lol. ive had people on here tell me ive made a good decision but i still wonder...what to you guys think about baits this big? this thing weighs like 11 oz! has anyone on here accually caught anything on plastic as big as this? i know peoplwe sometimes catch em on the 10" jakes but those are like half as skinny as the phantom. just want to know from you guys that use lures this big what your success with them is because i am only used to smaller lures. so my question is for you guys have you had success on a 10" phantom? and what kind of other huge lures do you use and how well do you do on them? just want to gain some insight on huge lures

Posts: 49 Location: Gone Fishin | They are a great baits. I got three fish last year the first two days I used it. I got a 12" softail phantom for this year.

Posts: 1023 | I have clearly lost perspective cause that lure sounds too small to me:)

Last fall I caught a 27'' and a 38'', later that day I got a follow from a true monster. These baits work.

Posts: 187 Location: West Metro, MN | A quick question on the 10" phantom softtail. Do you guys still use a solid wire leader with these like other smaller gliders? I picked one up over the winter and am looking forward to throwing it this summer.

I always use a flourocarbon leader with my baits. I didn't have any hang up issues.

Plus with the way many fish swipe at gliders it will help to have the steel in case one gets its teeth on the leader.
