| I have a few lakes by me where trolling IS legal. I've been brainstorming with my wife, and we were thinking about trailing a bait along side the boat while we are casting. Thinking about some sort of soft plastic. Thinking probably a bulldawg, medussa, or hellcat. Any thoughts about a specific lure that may have the best action while just being pulled along the side of the boat? Anyone else try this? |

Location: Green Bay, Titletown, WI | I had a mid 30's fish hit a buck tail that was 1/2 in the water. The rod was hanging over the side of the boat, with just the tinsel in the water while I was dealing with a sucker. Almost took the rod with it. Anything is possible. If it's legal, give it a shot. |

Most other states you can have 2+ ..we are the exception here...
Either woiuld be a good option. Also consider a Medussa. Three tails offer lots of action on a dead stick. |

Location: Duluth, MN | I was throwing a regular bulldawg last summer and set my rod down for a min to check the radar on a nasty front that was moving in. I looked back at my bulldawg that was dragging in the water and there was about a 48" fish a foot be hind just following along with the boat. It ended up striking on the figure 8 but I was a little too quick with the hook set. |
