Location: north central wisconsin | I just loaded all of my waypoints from my handheld unit(ifinder H20C) onto my HDS 7 unit in the boat, after a winter of saving panfish spots. I then checked to be sure everything was there, by looking at a few of the more recent waypoints I saved. When I look up info, it is pretty generic, compared to my ifinder and LCX 111 unit. That is fine, however, I would like to be taught how to find the date created for each waypoint, within the HDS. One of the key features of my old Lowrance units is choosing certain waypoints based on the dates created. No matter how many times I load/save, that embedded original creation date is always there. I saved a lot of my suspended crappie spots this past winter in January and it would be nice to determine easily which ones they are as I can on my handheld or lcx. Also, I marked a bunch of cribs this winter that are not too far from other waypoints. I didn't name them, but with the date created feature, I don't have to. So, in short, it is very helpful for me in more ways than one to filter wayoints, based on the date created criteria. Again, I'm sure it's there, as it is on my older units, I just need be shown the way..

| For sure way is go to the Utilities screen.. waypoints, routes and trails, hit enter, make sure you are on the waypoints tab (routes and trails are the others I believe) then find your waypoint by either searching the name or sorting by date, nearest etc which you get to by hitting Menu in that screen.
I think you can get there by highlighing a waypoint on the map screen with your cursor, hitting menu, then selecting "info" and going thru the options, but I run Humminbird and won't have access to an HDS unit for a couple of weeks to be able to confirm. |
