I would NOT recommend the Sling Blade for a speed reel like the tranx..tip is way too soft you'll simply be fighting the tip with the speed of these reels... go with a Big Nasy or TI XXH or something with a stiffer tip...

Does the musky mojo Hvy power rod that is rated for 2-6 ounce lures have a soft tip just like the sling blade? or is it stiffer?

If it's the 8'6" model then it will be simular to the sling blade. If you jump to a 9' heavy like big nasty it will be stiffer.
