Just chunked my prop on my boat while fishing the river. I'm running a 92 16' Lund with a 3 cyl 50 hp merc tiller. The prop I wrecked was a 15p that was on the boat when purchased new. The boat was very slow out of the hole with the 15p prop. I know it wasn't the correct prop for the boat. Im trying to decide between a 12p, 13p or a 13p 4 blade ss trophy sport . Doesn't anyone else run a similar setup? Any suggestions?

Hiya,

I'd say go to a 13" 3 blade or 4 blade. If you are looking for hole shot, the 4 blade can help, but I don't think it would be as fast out of the hole as a 3 blade...that is due to the extra blade in the water, meaning more resistance in the water. The 4 blade would stay hooked up a bit better, though, so it may not be a bad choice. Just thinking on that size motor, the 4 blade is not going to be much different than the 3 blade..
