I have a 60 hp merc that fully trims down but will not go up. The trim only clicks when pressed up but works fine going down. Ive added fluid and the motor is all the way down so i cannot drive it to a dealer? Is there some way to manually lift up?

Look for a screw valve on the trim mechanism. You can release the pressure and lift it by hand.

I'm not sure if it would click or not, but check the relays. The exact same thing happened to my Merc last year and its a $10 part. If you don't want to buy the part without knowing you can just switch the relays and see if that works.

I replaced the up relay and it still clicks when u hit the switch. If u press the trim up then down many times it will VERY slowly trim up. Is the power trim shot? It sounds perfect going down?

Would assume the clicking you are hearing is the relay engaging. I don't know for sure, but I think all the relays do is apply the proper power polarity to the trim pump motor depending on whether you are going up or down. At this point I would check wiring from up relay to trim pump motor. Since it does move slowly, it could be a wire has been pinched or compromised in some way or a connection is loose so that the motor is not getting enough current to fully turn the motor at full speed.

Are the batteries good? I won't claim to know much about the electrical issue, but is it possible your batteries just don't have the power to operate the pump?

Do you have a "hot foot" or another type of aftermarket trim controller? i had this happen and traced it back to a bad wire splice in my "hot foot" trim controller. Just a thought...

Have you checked to see if you are getting 12 volts at the tilt motor? That is where you need to check when you push the switch to raise the motor. If not then look at the wiring at the main switch. I had one wire come loose up in the main wiring that goes to the switch. If you are getting juice at the motor then i would say you will have to get the motor checked out, if possible.
