I am rigging my alumacraft boat. I was wondering can I mount the structure scan transducer next to the normal depth finder transducer on the 12" piece of wood the dealer mounted on transom.

As long as there is clear vision side to side with no obstructions, yes. Post a pic of the transom and where you want to mount it.

Yep, worked for me on an alumacraft classic. I mounted my LSS-1 'ducer to the outside of the sonar 'ducer. Separated by about 4-6".
