Posts: 18 | Any recommendations for a good musky net? Although I know they can be pricey, I expect I am only going to do it once (insert married joke here) so i would like to get a good one.... Review of the Frabill were less then hoped for on Cabelas. thanks

Posts: 1638 Location: Minnesota | i fish by myself most of the time that being said i like the Beckman pen net. nice and light. easy to hold in one hand. if you do catch a fish you have rod in one hand net in the other i can handel the beckman the best.

X2 with the beckman. Nice and light with a fish friendly bag. Hooks can get tangled in the netting at times but over all a very nice net.

Posts: 1713 Location: Mt. Zion, IL | Frabill power catch is the only way to go. The self aligning handle makes it easier for solo fishing than any other net. Get the net just smaller than the Big Kahuna.

Posts: 574 | I like the Frabill power catch big game.. Pretty sure its the one Ryan is talking about above.. I feel like this netting gets tangled the least when fish are thrashing/rolling in the net.. And being a little thicker its seems more durable too.. I've had a few frabill big games, and beckman finsaver, and if I had to buy another net today it'd be an easy decision getting another Frabill big game.. http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=Fra...

Posts: 298 Location: Not where I want to be! | I use the Frabil #8425 and put a Beckman finsaver bag on it. I like the frabil hoop with self aligning handle as I keep the net colapsed on the front deck. The beckman finsaver bag is great for the fish and is like working in a livewell. A little pricey but works really well.

Location: sneaking out to get on the water ;-) | Frabil big game!!! I fish by myself the majority of the time and this net is still handleable and will hold the big girls comfortably. If you're always fishing with a partner get the big kahuna otherwise the big game is the one.

Posts: 298 Location: Not where I want to be! | Shawn, Pretty sure the beckman replacement bag was the 34 X 40. It really works well! Just me, but I find the Big Kahuna to be too large to use when you're fishing alone. Besides I have'nt come across a fish yet that does'nt fit easily in a 8425.

Posts: 774 Location: South East Wisconsin | Thanks Ron. What about weight? By switching to the Beckmann net does it make the whole net lighter?

Posts: 91 | Anybody ever see or use the Stowmaster Blue Salt Water Net? They look nice to me. Have a new one, never been wet, put up and away in storage for now. If interested shoot me a price. Will have it ready as soon as this weather breaks. Could even ship for a very fair price. E-mail me .
