| Somebody mentioned a public launching landing about a mile from Redwing Lodge.
I could sure use some direction and do they charge for a launching fee? |

| There is the Government Dock they have boat launching there. I don't know if there is a fee to launch. I know they charge to park in the lot. You could call them and find out about the fee. |

| I thought it was free. But I am not sure. It is not as secure as some of the other options in the area. By that I mean it is not really manned 24/7 like it would be at the resort. |

| Ive been there even left the truck and trailer there over night! there is businesses and stuff all around it so in my opinion unlikely as to robbery or damage occuring! also I dint pay anything to park there, I believe it is just a regular public access, I dint see any signs to pay! the landing is far far better than the one at red wing! |

| No charge to park/launch there in the past. We have never had an issue leaving the trucks/trailers there for the week, but have heard some stories about siphoned gas out of tanks. Keep your doors locked and the spinners off your rims and you should be fine when you get back. |

Location: Madison, WI | Everyone is correct. Government Dock is what you are looking for at the end of the road. We have never left trucks/trailers overnight so cannot comment on safety however we have never had an issue. We have never paid a fee. |
