Location: Roscoe IL | What the difference between the Revo Toro Winch 60 and the 61? I must have a left hand retreive and want a multi purpose reel for DBL 10's and mag dogs. I just picked up 2 barely used 9' Hammers and need to put reels on them.
Also considering the Shimano Curado 300E. Any insight or advise would help!

| 61 is left hand crank. and curado 301 is left hand as well.
60 and 300 are right handed crank
Ford vs chevy on the toro and curado. Both good, asking which is better always starts a fight |

Location: sneaking out to get on the water ;-) | The winch is geared lower and is awesome for big blades but might be a bit slow for the mag dawgs. The 300e is more comparable to the revo toro 5.4:1 . |

I like my Revo Toro Winch, but they're a bit to slow for 10's. They do work pretty well for Super Models though. |

| The curado and revo toro winch can't really be compared. Both are sweet reels, but are made for different uses. The curado is better for smaller baits and baits that don't pull as hard due to its higher gear ratio. The winch handles 10's nicely and other hard pulling baits but it isn't the greatest for "burning" 10's. |

| I'd see if you could find a Revo Toro 61 on Ebay for a reasonable price. They are a 5.4:1 gear ratio which is in my opinion the most versatile gear ratio. Good for hard pulling baits, and enough line pickup for jerk baits. Abu Garcia also has the Revo Toro NaCl in a lefty model with a 5.4:1 ratio but it's 300$. |

Location: Ludington, MI | I like my Revo 61 for big blades but my reel guy put a Daiwa power handle on it that's a little longer. I think it's perfect. I can run blades or anything else I want. |

That 5.4:1 is a better all around reel.. Should handle 10s fine with the power handle, and wont feel too slow using other baits..

Location: Ludington, MI | It's gonna be what you like. I got a higher speed Lexa and I don't care for it in part because it's so fast that I had to re-learn WTD baits and how to feed line back to them. I like 5.4s best. |

The 4:6.1 is good for throwing double 10's but you will wear yourself out burning them. The NACL has an even longer power handle now that does work very well for double blades and the 5:4.1 will still tire you out burning but not as bad as the 4:6.1. Learn to use a right hand reel and get a saltist 30 if you wanna burn them.
