Subject: Solar Panels - Info

This is in response to another post "onboard chargers."

I contacted a friend that uses solar panels to charge his batteries. Here is what he told me:

1. he uses one panel per battery. Each panel is 18" x 24" According to my friend - he never runs out of power.

2. they are connected separately to each battery with clips

3. they were purchased from Boats, USA at a cost of approx. $200 each. I believe they can be purchased from them in smaller sizes at less cost.

4. I've seen them advertised in either Bass Pro or Cabelas but never seen them in person. They do come in smaller sizes for less money in their catalogs.

5. I have been told that they also come with cigarette lighter attahments. Never seen them.

Hope this helps.
