Have booked a houseboat this first week of June. The group is all family with half being musky fisherman and the other being panfish/walleye guys spread over three generations. Any advice in regards to the houseboat, areas of the lake to camp/fish, or a guide recommendation would be appreciated.

We were told there are about 60 campsites throughout lake the houseboats need to use. I know it's early but it's the week we all can go. I'm really looking forward to it. No one in our family has put a 50" fish in the boat. I really hope one of us gets a chance at one!

You can start off, in Stuntz Bay. Very protected from the wind. Walleyes can be found really shallow, around there.
Lots of weeds, so it's good for muskies, at that time, although I don't know if muskie season will be open yet.
I've heard that people have been having motor problems, with some of the houseboats. They need to update their boats.
Good luck, and enjoy the beautiful lake.

Not sure if muskie season is open.
It's usually the 2nd weekend in June
Better check first.

what size boat will you be fishing out of ? ask for a map of where you can camp at night. that way you can plan your trip better vermilion is a long lake. if it was me i would spend the night in a defferent spot every night that way you can see the whole lake. pm me and i can give you some spots to fish. you might want to pick up a" ProMap series Lake Master Lake map" that can all so help you plan your trip
