FYI - I bought 5 or so packs of these tails to try on hardheads and the majority of them were no good due to the way they are folded and crammed in the little bags. Almost all of them have some sort of kink in the tail that I could not get to straighten. They were clearanced at Gander when I bought them but maybe there was a reason for that. Wasn't too happy. Sorry, maybe this post is in violation but that's my experience with them.

Could you dip them in hot water and lay them flat to staighten the kinks?
