| Planning a trip to one of these two lake now. Any maps or chips available. Thoughts on which lake might be better.I know Stork is about 2 times more money but more remote! Alot of Hazards? Any input would be appreciated! Thanks |

| I would go to Stork Lake if I could afford it. I've made a few day trips there. The only map I ever found is like the map that is shown on Stork Lake Lodge internet site. The lodge probably has them. If not, there is a sporting goods store (Four seasons??) in Ear Falls that should have them.
Some of the resorts on Cedar Lake have maps on their internet sites. I feel most resorts will have a map that they will mark safe passage ways, as well as, marking some of the more dangerous hazards. Just be sure to ask the resort to mark where there are jugs, which are placed on reefs, rocks, etc. I always think it is a good idea to talk to some of the other fishermen for their input too. As to chips and good maps, I know of none.

| Cedar is easy. You can navigate it without a map pretty quickly. There are very few (if any at all) hazards that wouldn't be in obvious places (such as off of a point or something). It's a small lake, with a good amount of muskies (very few pike), but it can get a bit crowded with boats at times - especially when the wind keeps you off the main NW / SE channel.
