Posts: 149 | I see many new custom bucktails with 2 different blade colors. I am looking to add to my bucktail collection.....do you guys have good luck mixing your blade colors? The only one I have is a crappie skirt with one black and one white blade.

Posts: 1360 Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | Some of my favorite bucktails have two different colored blades. I love them, to me, its just another way of contrasting colors. But their are other ones out there like "Candy Corn" from musky mayhem, that is quickly becoming a personal favorite.

I make my own bucktails and have made a handful with different blade color combinations. I found that the cadence of the blade took presedence over the color in the waters that i fish. Also, you have to recall that certain colors of the "color wheel" at certain depths of water in varying light conditions "wipe-out." I heard a musky guide speak on the topic before and he proclaims that these flashy gaudy colors are just to catch the consumer. Anyway, good luck with the blades.
