If I lived as closed to musky water as most of you I am sure that I would not be as happily married as I currently am unless the Mrs. wanted to pick up the rod a little more (pun intended).

It's as much a curse as it is a blessing. All that water and very little time to fish it with the wife and kids tying up your weekends. It is nice to be on the water in 6 minutes though.

I voted 5-10 miles. There might be a musky lake within 5 miles of me but a typical one way drive is about 6-12 miles to get me to about 6 different musky lakes. 20-25 miles would probably take me to 15+ I would guess.

I sure feel sorry for all the people that voted 100+. As much as I love it, it would take some of the fun out for me if I had to travel that much every time I wanted to fish.

most of my driving is wandering around wondering which lake i should go to ... we've got it good here, just that little problem that there are no big fish in wisconsin.

Yeah. That.

And the fact that WI fish are so #*^@ ugly...

Up here they might be ugly but they're also fat. We like them that way in these parts.

I drive 100 miles to fish cave run but I make a weekend out of it and stay with family. There is a lake within 5 miles of me that has been stocking since 2008. I will start fishing there through the week.
