Posts: 4080 Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | Lake Vermilion Muskie Challenge in August every year out of Fortune Bay Casino. The St Luis River event is considered boarder waters,.. so I think either a Mn.or Wi. license would be OK. You better check their rules though. Jerome

Posts: 572 Location: Maplewood, MN | muskyball - 2/22/2013 10:56 PM Whats the word on the Metro Muskie Tournament? Last I checked I couldn't find their website anymore. Sounds like the tourney info is now going to be spread by local musky bait retailers. It is usually the first saturday after musky opener.

Posts: 133 Location: Duluth, MN | kodiak - 2/20/2013 7:38 AM so the st louis river is wis/min right....so can you have either a mn or wi lisecense or both? You don't need both to fish the st louis but they have a law in place if your a mn or wi resident you need your state license. If your from any other state you can fish with either mn or wi non resident license. Trying to keep the locals from saving a dollar and the state losing one.

However, I've wondered how one could save a dollar or two by purchasing an annual non resident vs their own resident license in either?
