My best friend Donald Constable (PGA TOUR) deer hunts with me and enjoys fishing from time to time. I can still beat him on the golf course also! (Teammates from college golf team)

Anybody remember when Favre caught a muskie fishing with Gillespie? They were on some small secret lake in very small boats. One of John's more excitable moments.

As opposed to all of his non-excitable moments?

Did he pat Brett on the back, grab the fish from him, and then shove a brat in his mouth?

I'm thinkin' casting for muskie is an athletic endeavor so that makes guides , tv / video guys that draw income from such professional. I'd love to fish with some of these guys, maybe some good habits, thinkin' methods would rub off onto a true amateur.
Bucher, Heiting, Saric, Herbie, Maina, the list goes on...

During a few of our stays @ Evergreen Lodge on Eagle in Ontario we ran into the (at that time) head coach of the NBA's timberwolves and his family. I want to say his name was Kip, I can't remember. He gave us a bunch of TWolve's merch but we kept the Bulls hats on. A local guide down the road from me guided Chris Farley's brother a lot when I was younger.

Tony Granato, former NHL player and Colorado Avalanche coach, along with his father and brother ( also who were in the NHL I think) are regular guests at AML who love musky fishing. Got to speak with him a few times and he is just as passionate as anyone about musky fishing.

As far as posters here goes, awhile ago someone from penske racing used to post on here quite a bit. He never would say who he was, if it was not roger it was someone very close in the organazation.

I don't think the person that signed in under that name was part of any racing organization. I'm pretty sure they post on a fishing forum with a racing type name, and a racing forum with a fishing type name.

Such a late response to guests post. The person I was referring to claimed to be a.part of the organization and I do not remember the exact details was trying to get something together with the organization and interested parties on this site. It unfortunately did not gain any traction.

I was in rhinelander area twice in the early 2000s when Favre was in the area musky fishing with guides. Never saw the Gillespie episode with the old gunslinger but would be cool to see. By the way clay Mathews looks like a true Californian holding that muskie on the dock. Yikes. Lol. Go pack go.

Good to see Matthews wrapping up on that tackle. Wish the rest of
defense would follow his lead. LOL

Saw former Packer and Bill's linebacker Bryce Paup at Sturgeon Bay boat landing about ten years ago. He was smallmouth fishing though, don't know if he's a musky guy.

I know the lake they were on and the circumstances that lead to him catching that musky. Favre had casted onto the camera boat ( pontoon ) that his daughter was on watching the events unfold, and the caretaker kicked the bait into the water and Favre started reeling it back to the boat and the musky hit it. I'm not sure who was the most surprised! A lot of stories of prominent people fishing that lake, President Eisenhower and his brothers, and also the time my Grandpa had to "guide" Gypsy Rose Lee (famous exotic dancer from back in the day) to some monster smallmouth. As the story goes, grandma wasn't very happy that he "had to" take her out, but I guess he was really sweating it when she started to remove clothing because it was so hot on the water that day.
