take it to your local butcher cuz those things sounds like meat grinders.... lol. I bet daves reel service in IL could do it

Thanks.. I appreciate it.. May sound like garbage, but as a lefty, it's my only option for blades.. Had them 3 years and its my first issue yet!! I fish about 115-130 days a year!! Maybe Shimano should make left handed reels! Outside the us, everybody reels left handed... Haha

I sent one back to Avet and they fixed it for free. They may sound like meat grinders but I can smoke small baits with them.

You can send them to Avet for repair. The pinion bearing wear is what usually causes the grinding sound. This last year I had Avet send me some pinion bearings and I replaced one on an Avet that had the grind going. It took about 5 minutes to change and it worked.
