This is an impossible question to answer, but of the fisheries I've been on multiple times... you can't go wrong with going north of the boarder and spending your summer on LOTW or Eagle. Lots of fantastic resorts on both bodies of water. Weeds vs. rock structure fishing is going to be about the same on both in that there are points in the season where fish are just naturally going to transition to rocks (typically late July - end of August), but there will always be fish using weeds. Multispecies wise, you can't go wrong with either. I've never spent much time fishing anything but muskies on either lake but guys in my group and in camp do exclusively and do well for all species on both lakes. Pike and walleyes get huge in both lakes, but smallies aren't really world class on either body at least not like in Rainy. Cool thing about Eagle is that there are nice lakers present in the trout holes during the summer period.

I appreciate you opening the forum on this topic though and I'm jealous that you'll have your pick of the litter for a full season on a tremendous fishery! Enjoy!

I don't know first hand, but I have asked this question for a while, preparing for when I can actually do a trip like that, and LOTW seems to be atop the leader board.

Good luck and hope whatever you decide ends up being a great trip!
