Looking for reviews of the Shimano Calcutta D. Shimano lost my Conquest and wants to replace it with a Calcutta D. I don't see them as equivalent, but would like some comments from users.

The discussion here was pretty complete too.

I have one, and found it to be a very nice reel. I fished the last part of this season using the Shimano to toss the bigger stuff, and was very happy.

The first time I pitched an 8/10 Violent Strike with it reminded me of the first cast I took with the first Lew's Speed Spool back about a million years ago.

Will it replace my Revo Toros? Nope, it supplements them. Great addition to the arsenal.
