I just purchased an inexpensive used Quantum Classic 1431 MGC Reel thinking I would use it for small spring bucktails. I was really quite surprised when I received it. It looked like a nice sized left handed reel and held alot of 80 lb. braid. The reel seemed to be nice and smooth and I was able to updat the handle with a Power Handle from my Revo Toro's..........Has anyone else used these Quantum Reels, was wondering if they hold up. I know you get what you pay for but this looks like a reel that might be a sleeper.............Thanks Mike Sr.

yes i have the cabo edition saltwater 30 pts and love em. got 3 of them had them for three years now with no complaints. really like the slide lever to access the cast control. for the $$$$ you cant go wrong. and yes i was surprised at the line capacity as well when i spooled them up.

I use 2 Cabos - which were based off of the Classic MG. They're just souped up versions that include ceramic drag and a few additional upgrades. Wish they were still made. Love the line capacity, casting and durability of them. No complaints fishing them with blades up to size 8.
